The nephew of codebreaking genius Alan Turing is to give a unique glimpse into the life of his uncle.

Sir John Dermot Turing will be speaking at Bletchley Park in April.

A Bletchley Park spokesman said; “He will be giving a unique family perspective on the mathematician’s life and work.”

Dermot, who is a trustee of the park, last year wrote a book called Prof: Alan Turing Decoded. It takes a fresh look at the codebreaker’s life and creativity.

His talk will take place on Sunday April 3 and will be followed by a question and answer session.

Afterwards Dermot will sign books in the visitor centre.
