Caravans on fire outside school


Firefighters were called on Friday to two caravans on fire outside Greenleas Lower School, Kestrel Way.

A crew from Leighton Buzzard Community Fire Station arrived at about 1.55pm.
As they fought the fire using a hose and a thermal imaging camera, firefighters had to vent two LPG cylinders as part of their efforts to quell the blaze.

On caravan was destroyed and 10% of the second caravan was damaged.

No-one was injured in the incident which was closed at 2.47pm.

Two fire crews were called to a road traffic collision in Plantation Road, Leighton Buzzard at 1.25pm on Saturday.

Two cars were involved and firefighters released one woman from a vehicle using cutting equipment. The incident was closed at 2.11pm.
