Children on song with delightful nativities

Mary Bassett Lower School on Leighton put on two nativities.

Year 2’s The Apprentice was a story about a carpenter’s apprentice, who helped to repair the stable and build the crib.

Headteacher Deborah Pargeter said: “The lead song was Life’s Good When You Work With Wood and there were solos from over a dozen children and the voices were clear and tuneful. The other nativity was Year R and was more traditional, finishing with a delightful Away In A Manger.”
