Every child from reception to Year 4 had a part with many teachers and staff getting in on the action. The production was directed by Year 1 teacher Catherine Harrison whose daughter Eleanor – currently studying for a GCSE in art and design – devised the set with many parents helping to bring it to life by sparing the time to paint it.
Pastoral teaching assistant Debbie Nelson also worked with mums and dads to create some of the most exquisite, comical and professional costumes ever seen in a school production. Fairy Godmother (Lexie Brown) enchanted everyone with a wave of her wand as she sent Cinders (Lilly-Mae Cole) off to meet her Prince Charming (Teagan Kelly), in spite of the wicked efforts of ugly sisters (Kayla and Kyela) and the magnificent Fairy Nasty Boots, played by teacher Helen Hoare.
It was a truly team effort and one that will remain a fond memory for years to come.
