Motorists who have been flashed by a faulty speed camera will not be fined, Central Beds Council had confirmed.
Over the last week a number of drivers have complained that they were snapped on the Leighton bypass, even though they were travelling under the 50mph speed limit.
Central Beds Council has admitted that this has been down to a problem with the camera, which is currently being fixed
A CBC spokesperson told the LBO: “The council along with the police and the camera company are aware of the fault with the speed cameras at the Leighton bypass and are working to fix it today (Friday).
“Of course, anyone who has been flashed under the posted limit of 50mph will not receive a ticket.”
