Huge haul of jewellery taken


A large amount of jewellery and watches was stolen during a burglary at a Leighton Buzzard home.

Bedfordshire Police has issued a witness appeal following the burglary at the property in Harrow Road, which took place between December 29 and January 3.

Burglars broke the bottom panel of the property’s back door to gain entry and after a search made off with the haul of jewellery and watches. They did not steal electrical items at the house.

Police are looking for anyone who might have been offered one or more of the unusual items of jewellery stolen.

They include:

A silver articulated fish pendant on silver curb chain.

A ruby and diamond ring, daisy setting in 18ct white gold with 18ct yellow gold band.

A half eternity ring comprising 5 diamonds.

18ct gold diamond earrings.

Amber necklace comprising 5 large rectangle stones set in silver linked on a silver chain with matching earrings comprising 1 large rectangle stone each.

Aqua blue glass earrings with gold decor.

Abalone cat brooch.

Abalone pendant set in silver on silver chain.

Pendant kite shaped with point.

Abalone rectangle earrings set in silver.

3 x pairs of small silver studs in set shaped like daisy, sunflower and hearts.

9ct yellow gold heavy signet ring engraved with ‘PNY’ on the diagonal.

9ct yellow gold heavy signet ring engraved with ‘1.10.1939’.

9ct gold yellow gold signet ring engraved ‘SBWY’ on the diagonal.
