Limbo as jury fail to reach verdicts in sex assault trial

The trial of a golf player from Linslade accused of a string of sexual assaults – including rape allegations – remains in limbo after the jury failed to reach verdicts.

After 19 hours and 39 minutes in deliberation, the jury failed to reach a verdict

on charges that 25-year-old Gavin Samuels was accused of.

The case has now been listed for a mention hearing at Luton Crown Court on Friday.

There, it is expected to be announced whether a retrial will take place.
