Operation Vision comes to Leighton Buzzard

Community policing officers, PCSOs and Special Constables will be providing free advice and crime-prevention tips to Leighton Buzzard residents during an Operation Vision event tomorrow (Wednesday).

As well as speaking to the community in their homes and on the street about any concerns they may have, officers will be providing services including number plate securing, property and bike marking, and vehicle and home security advice.

Residents will also get the chance to find out more about community schemes including Neighbourhood Watch and Speed Watch.

Inspector Jim Hitch from the community policing team said: “Events like Operation Vision take place regularly throughout the county and are a fantastic opportunity for us to engage with the public and take on board any concerns they may have.

“In Bedfordshire, protecting people is at the forefront of all we do so we would encourage people to spend a few minutes chatting to our officers and making the most of the free safety and crime-prevention advice we can offer.”

Operation Vision will run from 9.30am to 1.30pm in the town centre and residential roads.
