A Romanian man appeared before magistrates today accused of flashing outside a Linslade school and carrying a knife.

Marius Botan, 43, appeared at Luton Magistrates Court via videolink from HMP Bedford where he is currently being held on remand.

Speaking through an interpreter, Mr Botan gave an address in Transylvania as his residence.

It is alleged Mr Botan appeared outside Linslade School on Tuesday, June 14. He was arrested after police received reports of a man indecently exposing himself outside the school.

He was subsequently charged with exposure, theft of “various items”, and possessing a lock knife.

An adjournment was granted for a full psychiatric report to be carried out, estimated to take four to six weeks.
