Delivery driver forced out of his van which was then stolen by robber in Slapton near Leighton Buzzard

A delivery driver was forced out of his van which was then driven off by his assailant on Thursday (December 20).

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to the incident where the victim, a man in his 30s, had just made a delivery in Church Street, Slapton, at around 5.30pm.

As the victim was closing the door to his van after returning to it, he was grabbed by a man and forced out of the vehicle.

The robber drove off in the van, a blue Ford Transit panel van with the registration beginning WT18.

The victim did not sustain any injuries.

The attacker was a white man around 6ft tall of athletic build. He was wearing a black hooded top and a light grey cap.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Bruce Wilson of Aylesbury CID, said: “I would like to encourage anyone who knows anything about this incident to get in touch.

“If you witnessed this incident or have seen the van described since Thursday evening, please get in touch.”
