Could you conquer the coals to raise money for some worthy causes?

Brave soles are invited to take part in a charity firewalk on Sunday.

The event takes place at 6pm in the garden of The Hare Inn, in Linslade.

Registration costs £10 and a minimum sponsorship of £150 is required.

The event is a fundraiser for three charities.

PTSD Resolution, headed by pub landlord Jim Woolley, provides therapy to ex-service personnel who find it difficult to cope with civilian life. The charity, which has now gone national, operates from a network of pubs across the UK, which are run as information centres.

BASIC (Bridge Across Service Into Civilian), also founded by Mr Woolley, provides more practical help for ex-servicemen and women.

It also acts as a lobby group and a one-stop hub linking groups and charities that support veterans.

The third charity is Little Heroes Charity Trust, set up by the father of a child with cancer to ‘give a child a smile’ while they are in hospital.

To register for the firewalk, call 01525 373941 or collect a registration form from the pub.
