It was one of over 100 similar events organised by the People’s Vote campaign throughout the UK on Saturday and Bedfordshire for Europe says it was pleased with the positive reception they had in the High Street.

Bob Wilkin, chairman of Bedfordshire for Europe, said: “The more we talk to people the more apparent it becomes that they are dissatisfied with the progress of Brexit and wish to revisit it once the proposed final deal is negotiated.

“The views we received in Leighton Buzzard are similar to the views being received by the People’s Vote campaign throughout the country.”

Bedfordshire for Europe was formed in November 2017 as a branch of the European Movement UK and aims to campaign locally for the UK to remain in the European Union and present the facts about Brexit that emerge as events unfold.
