THE Rolling Stones once sang ‘Get your kicks on Route 66’, however for Leighton people maybe it should be ‘get your chips at Route 66’!
The established cafe and takeaway at 1 Harmill Industrial Estate, Grovebury Road called Route 66 has been trading for over 10 years and is very popular with the town’s work force.
The full English breakfast is a customer favourite at the family run business where Elli Lucas is only too pleased to serve up dishes from their extensive freshly prepared menu featuring American and English breakfasts, brunch, burgers, jacket potatoes, baguettes and sandwiches – to name a few.
Despite being based in Leighton’s business area, the cafe is children and family friendly, catering for little ones needs. Opening hours are Monday to Friday 7am until 3pm and Saturday 7am to 1pm.
Good news for LBO readers this week is Route 66 are offering a FREE standard tea or coffee to every reader with the cut-out voucher in the October 4 issue of the LBO.
Readers can also take advantage of a ‘buy one item get another (the cheapest) half price’ deal from the freshly-prepared menu. (Offer excludes canned and bottled drinks, crisps, chocolate bars, boxed cakes, flapjacks and cookies.) Again, present a voucher on in the October 4 LBO.
Route 66 is also an LBO stockist – so what better way to enjoy a cuppa than to read your community-friendly LBO at the same time!
