Good Samaritan suffers broken jaw in Totternhoe attack


A good Samaritan was attacked while trying to stop a fight in Totternhoe.

The man was at an event in Castle Hill Road on Thursday night when an argument broke out between two women.

He helped diffuse the situation, but as he was leaving just after midnight he was surrounded by a large group of men and assaulted.

The victim was punched in the face by one of the group, causing a broken jaw.

Det Con Mohammed Hussain of Beds Police said: “This was a vicious attack on an innocent man who had been trying to help stop a fight earlier on in the evening. I am appealing for any witnesses, or anyone with information that could help identify those responsible, to come forward.”
