Members of Leighton Buzzard Children’s Theatre Youth Section aged 13-18 are presenting the historical musical by Darren Vallier on Saturday, J anuary 31.

The musical will be performed at The Vandyke Theatre and tells the story of the Derbyshire village of Eyam in the 1660s at the time of the plague – where the children were isolated away from the disease and their parents for their own safety.

A wonderful score arranged by David Allsopp is promised to take the audience through a rollercoaster of emotions with plenty to keep everyone entertained and thinking. Suitable for all (aged 8 and above), the characters weave their stories between the songs with the herbal hags narrating their tales, the gravediggers adding humour and the village children and adults interchanging moments of humour, despair, love and hope.

The production will be fully costumed and choreographed and will be performed at 3pm and 6pm with tickets available from sally@lbct.orggxfd.
