Hustings spotlight put on candidates

Leighton Buzzard’s General Election hustings takes place on Friday, April 24 and is a chance to hear what election candidates for the South West Beds constituency have to say about local, national and international issues.

The event is being held on Friday at 7.30pm at Cedars School in Linslade and has been organised by Leighton Linslade Churches Together and Dunstable Deanery.

Andrew Selous (Conservative), Stephen Rutherford (Liberal Democrats), Daniel Scott (Labour) and John van Weenen (UKIP) have all confirmed their attendance.

Emily Lawrence (Green Party) is not able to be there but there will be a representative from the party in her place.

There is a similar event in Dunstable on Wednesday, April 29 (7pm) at the Methodist Church.
