An inquest has opened into the passing of a Linslade man, whose cause of death is still not known.

On January 21 Carl Atkinson, 43, was found unresponsive at his home on Vimy Road by neighbours, who called for an ambulance.

Shortly before 2pm a paramedic examined Mr Atkinson and confirmed death.

Dr Adam Levene, a consultant pathologist from the Luton & Dunstable Hospital, carried out an autopsy but could not conclude on a cause of death.

Bedfordshire and Luton senior coroner Tom Osborne opened an inquest into Mr Atkinson’s death on Wednesday.

A full hearing will take place on June 22.
