Leighton Buzzard’s fourth annual Big Lunch Food Festival takes place on Sunday, June 5.
The festival, which runs between 11am and 4pm, aims to showcase Leighton-Linslade’s town centre, raising its profile with residents and visitors alike.
Upwards of 3,000 visitors are expected to attend, with everyone enjoying the food, workshops, live music and family entertainment.
This year’s festival brings an exciting array of foods from around the world. Along with traditional British fare, experience the flavours of Spain, China, India, Germany, France, America and more, with a variety to suit all tastes from vegetarians to sweet lovers to BBQ fans.
A number of seating areas will be available whether you bring along a picnic or enjoy the tasty treats on offer.
To keep the family amused throughout the day, there will be plenty of activities. The younger ones can take part in a mini-Olympics, bounce on trampolines, conquer the climbing wall, and have their faces painted.
Adults can browse unique craft stalls or enjoy a refreshment from the Double Decker Bus Bar or sample a local brew from Leighton Buzzard Breweries.
All will enjoy live music from the Undercoverz band and move to the beat of Caribbean Melody Steel Band. Local dance troupe Dance Energie will entertain at the Market Cross again this year.
Chef Clover Hutson will be on hand to provide master classes in sushi making for adults and pizza creations for kids, while Riverford Organics will be demonstrating how to cook creatively from a veggie box.
And if tea is your drink of choice, join Alice, the Mad Hatter and the White Rabbit for a tea party at the lower end of High Street.
