A group of campaigners fighting plans to build 300 homes to the west of Linslade got their message out loud and clear with a market stall in Leighton town centre last week.
Campaigner Tom Daly said: “We had great success at the stall even though it was one of the coldest days of the year!
“But it was worth it to get our message out and we gained hundreds of new supporters.”
The Valley Farm site has been a tug-of-war between locals and Paul Newman Homes for over five years. In 2012, proposals by the developers to build 900 homes on the site were decisively rejected by Aylesbury Vale District Council.
Now they are back with revised plans to build 300 homes on the same site. A planning application was submitted before Christmas.
