If you are looking for employment, training, volunteering or apprenticeship opportunities get along to the Leighton Buzzard jobs fair for the help and support you need.
The event will take place on Tuesday, September 29, from 10am-1pm at the Library Theatre, Lake Street, LU7 1RX, and offers job seekers in the town a chance to explore opportunities in their area and to speak directly to potential employers.
There will be plenty of support from a number of organisations and employers who will be promoting their vacancies and offering their guidance on training courses, volunteering, reskilling or apprenticeships.
Whether it’s support to get back into work, updating your CV, completing an application form or getting job searching tips, advisers from local Work Clubs and Job Centre Plus will be on hand to help. Some care sector employers will also be recruiting and promoting available vacancies during the event.
Business start-up advisers Wenta will be giving help on developing business skills, how to access finance and improve your business confidence if you’re considering your own venture.
Central Bedfordshire Council’s Social Care Health and Housing directorate is coordinating the jobs fair supported by various public and private sector partners.
Councillor Carole Hegley, the council’s Executive Member for Social Care and Housing, said: “This is an amazing opportunity right on your doorstep and I hope that people from the area will come and get the help they need with planning their next step.
“Trained advisers and industry experts will be there to offer guidance, so come along and find out how you can secure new opportunities or learn new skills.”
