Train services on the Leighton Buzzard Railway for the 2015 season begin on Sunday with a 25-minute diesel ‘taster’ service from Pages Park to Leedon.

The ‘Leedon Flyer’ service will operate only on February 15, 18 and 22. Special fares are adults £4.50, seniors (over 60) £3.50 and children (2 to 15) £2.50. The first service runs at 10.40am each day and the last at 3pm.

A spokesman said: “The Leighton Buzzard Railway operates along a ‘green corridor’ from Pages Park to the edge of the town and beyond. While we cannot offer mountain, moorland and coastal views, but we do offer all the fun of the narrow gauge not far from home, with a unique backdrop of the town and our own Chiltern Hills. Come and see your town from a new perspective!”

Steam service over the full line to Stonehenge Works are scheduled to operate from March 15. For full details of services, including a full programme of special events, visit www.buzzrail.co.uk.
