Owner of a Leighton Buzzard cake company honoured to make cake for first Love Island wedding
Michelle Shulman, owner of La Belle Cake Company which has recently moved to Leighton Buzzard Garden Centre, was chosen by Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen to make their cake, after she contacted their agent shortly after they got engaged.
The couple, from series two of Love Island, tied the know last month and Michelle, who is a big fan of the show, was ‘delighted’ to be a part of their special day.

“We’ve had wonderful feedback from Olivia and the cake featured in the recent edition of OK magazine.
“It was a great opportunity for us and goes to show that small, local businesses shouldn’t be overlooked or underestimated. We even managed to get a sneak peek of Alex arriving.”
The eight tier cake, which included vanilla, champagne and caramel layers, took just under a week to make.

“Since the wedding the response has been overwhelming and we’ve seen a huge increase in enquiries coming through which is great news for us.
“Especially as we’ve just moved to a beautiful new studio located at Leighton Buzzard Garden Centre.”
