Paralympic star visits Leighton school

Ian Rose, a Paralympic Judo bronze and silver medallist visited Brooklands School in Leighton and spent the morning with the Year 8 Young Leaders.

He discussed his career and led the young leaders through a number of fun and educational activities.

Ian was a torchbearer and opening ceremony performer for the London 2012 Paralympic Games, and is a winner of two Paralympic, five World Championship and nine European Championship medals.

Darren Ward, PE specialist, said: “It was a very successful visit with Ian being an inspiration to us all. A fantastic morning was had by all.”
