Virtual Small Business Saturday tour is coming to Leighton Buzzard tomorrow!

Entrepreneurs in Leighton Buzzard are being encouraged to join the ‘Small Business Saturday UK’ online roadshow, which offers support and mentoring for those affected by the pandemic.

‘Arriving’ in Leighton Buzzard on December 1 for a virtual visit, the tour will shine a light on the town and offer an intensive programme of locally targeted online advice, workshops and mentoring.

Local entrepreneur Toni Cassidy, owner of Glamavan, is delivering a workshop, while other local experts will be on hand for one-to-one mentoring.

Interviews with local businesses are also taking place, including with candle maker Amaura London.

The ‘Small Business Saturday - Virtual visit to Leighton Buzzard’ Facebook page, states: “The tour has gone virtual, and we are delighted that Leighton Buzzard is on the map!

“Our town will be featured on December 1 as one of the 30 locations as part of the virtual tour. There will be a programme of locally targeted online advice, workshops and mentoring.

“This year we celebrate two local businesses who caught the eye of the national campaign team, Glamavan and Jam on Toast Marketing. We worked directly with the two businesses to amplify this campaign.”

Chloe Peters, from Jam on Toast Marketing, added: “We have a ‘Go Go Vision Van’ travelling around town on Friday and Saturday with some fab messaging and local businesses.”

Insights from business and political leaders will also be streamed via Small Business Saturday UK’s Facebook page, and a fun-filled ‘Happy Hour’ will take place with prizes from local businesses.

Entrepreneurs can also look forward to mentoring from Leighton Buzzard’s Bekka Prideaux from ‘Bekka Prideaux - Small Business Simplified’.

The tour forms a central part of the official countdown to Small Business Saturday, which will take place on December 5.
