Programme of summer activities

Whether it’s football, arts and crafts or family sports and kite flying that tickles your fancy, Aldwyck Housing Group’s community involvement team has an activity with you in mind.

They’re hosting a series of family friendly events over the summer and Leighton’s Astral Park Community Centre is one of nine locations holding a different activity every Wednesday.

They take place between 6pm and 8pm and are free of charge but visitors are asked to bring their own drinks, hats and sun cream if the weather is hot.

Sessions range from football to arts and crafts. Others include rounders, family sports and kite flying.

The only trip where a small contribution is requested is to Chessington World of Adventures on Friday, August 19.

Spokesman Hafi Rahman said: “We’ve planned a range of fantastic events for the local community, which go above and beyond what we offered last year.

“The summer programme is a great way for us to engage with our customers and offer something back to the community, so hopefully plenty of people come down and get involved.”
