Rail journeys delayed as ‘vulnerable’ man spotted near tracks in Leighton Buzzard


Rail journeys were delayed after a “vulnerable man” was spotted close to train tracks in Leighton Buzzard.

Trains between Watford and Milton Keynes were delayed for almost an hour after the incident unfolded soon after 2.15pm.

A British Transport Police spokesman said: “We were called at 2.20pm to reports of a distressed person close to the railway line.

“Officers attended and found a man in some distress, they have since taken him to a safe place.”

Network Rail confirmed that trains were running again by 3.10pm.
