A second public meeting is being held this month as Leighton Buzzard Patient Participation Group Network looks to set up a group to provide transport for the elderly and vulnerable to and from local hospitals.
The meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 17 at the Brooklands Residents Association (members lounge) in Leighton Buzzard at 6.30pm.
Anyone interested in the scheme or who may wish to put themselves forward as a volunteer driver is welcome to turn up.
If you can’t attend the meeting but want further information or want to get involved email email@example.com or call 01582 429860.
Charlotte Bonser, chairman of the Leighton Buzzard Patient Participation Group Network, said: “The public meeting to recruit volunteer patient drivers held on June 22 was successful .
“Around 20 people attended our first meeting, with a handful completing an application form to become volunteer drivers.
“Of course to get this scheme off the ground we need more volunteers.”
