Senior NHS doctor from Linslade pleads '˜not guilty' to voyeurism charges

A high-ranking doctor from Linslade appeared before magistrates last week on charges of voyeurism.

Dr Jonathan Fielden, formerly of Stoke Road in Linslade, was arrested in February 2017.

On Thursday, September 27, Dr Fielden appeared at Luton Magistrates Court and pleaded not guilty to two counts of voyeurism in Leighton Buzzard.

He will next appear at Luton Crown Court for a preliminary trial hearing on October 29.

Dr Fielden was suspended and later resigned as deputy medical director and director of specialised commissioning at NHS England, where he earned an annual salary of £224,999 – making him one of the highest-paid doctors in the country.

He had previously served as chairman of the British Medical Association consultants committee. His clinical background is as an anaesthetist.
