Theatre-goers are in for a treat this summer with a multiplicity of must-see productions lined up at Milton Keynes Theatre.
The entertainment kicks off with Brian Conley in Barnum, the lively musical that follows the roller-coaster real life of showman Phineas T Barnum.
This is followed by not one but two magical family favourites – a lavish new staging of The Sound of Music and the ever-popular rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar, with a story just as compelling today as it was when it was launched more than 40 years ago.
If it’s laughter you’re after, don’t miss Spamalot. The multi-award winning musical comedy gallops into MK to the sound of medley of coconut shells.
And for all those loyal Elvis fans, the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll lives again in Love me Tender, featuring 25 of his best-loved melodies – this new musical was inspired by his chart-busting hits.
MK’s summer blockbuster is Shrek the Musical which will be at the theatre for three big, bright and beautiful weeks. Don’t miss the chance to join in the green adventure with this all-singing all-dancing extravaganza .
There’s quality drama with The King’s Speech and two good old-fashioned murder mysteries with Peter James’ Dead Simple and Agatha Christie’s Then There Were None.
Inala promises to be an extra special feast, showcasing the taelents of the Royal Ballet, Ballet Rambert and South African legends Ladysmith Black Mambazo in a cultural explosion of music, song and dance.
