All Saints Preservation Trust is making its annual appeal for unwanted or unneeded Christmas presents which it will turn into cash by reselling them on its stall in Church Square on May Day.
“It’s become a tradition now – and we are so grateful for the generous response from many people in the town,” said appeal director Terry Warburton.
“We all get Christmas and birthday presents which do not suit us and each year we invite people hot to hoard them but to drop them into Dillamore’s furnishers in the High Street and we will re-cycle them.
“An unwanted present for one is certainly wanted by someone else!”
The presents, which should be unused and in their original packing, are carefully sorted and re-priced for the May Fayre event.
Last year more than £1,000 was raised which went towards the costs of repairing the great east window in Leighton Buzzard’s historic All Saints church.
