A man was taken to hospital after he was injured in a road traffic collision on Southcourt Road, Linslade, on Monday afternoon.
The man, in his 20’s, suffered leg and pelvic injuries and was taken to Royal London Hospital.
Bedfordshire Police were called to the scene shortly before 3.30pm, a motorcycle and a car were involved in the collision.
A spokesperson for Bedfordshire Police said: “We were called just before 3.30pm to a road traffic collision involving a motorcycle and a car.
“One male is injured. There is an air ambulance at the scene and officers are still at the scene.”
One reader who saw the aftermath said: “It was at school closing so very busy.
“A lovely lady stayed with him all the while, but it took a good 25 minutes to get an ambulance to him.
“Part of the car bumper was off. Parents stopped cars going through and a number of drivers were not happy.”
A spokesperson for the East of England Ambulance service said: “The East of England Ambulance Service Trust was called to a road traffic collision at 3.26pm yesterday on Southcourt Road, in Leighton Buzzard.
“An ambulance and Herts Air ambulance attended a man in his 20’s with leg and pelvic injuries.
“He was flown to Royal London Hospital for further care.”
