UPDATE; Police forensic teams in Sharnbrook as part of severed head investigation
Police are at a railway site in North Bedfordshire as part of a murder investigation after a human head was discovered.
Officers are at a location close to Sharnbrook viaduct , south of Mill Road.
Contrary to previous reports a human head has not been found at the site, but the search is being linked to the discovery of a head at a quarry in Mepal in Cambridgeshire.

Police were first alerted to the head at 3pm yesterday (May 16).
A spokesman for Cambs Police said: “We were called at about 3pm yesterday afternoon (Monday, May 16) with reports of the discovery of what is believed to be human remains at a quarry in Mepal.
“Officers have attended the scene and are investigating.”
