A well-known character from Leighton is to appear in Luton Crown Court tomorrow on charges of stalking.
Johann Perera, 43, of Stanbridge Road, is a widely known fixture around Leighton town centre – often seen with his guitar preaching messages of positivity. Last month, Beds Police revealed that he has been charged with two counts of stalking involving using fear of violence.
The charges relate to two people and run from 4 November 2013 to February 2 this year.
He appeared before magistrates on February 7 and tomorrow (March 3) will mark his preliminary hearing at Luton Crown Court.
