Davson scored 74 with the bat before taking 5-37 as Brickhill (258) saw off Long Marston on the final day of the season.

Knowing they would need leaders Oxford Downs to slip up against Twyford to win the title, Brickhill slumped to 100-6 as James Beesley (3-52) took out the opening trio of batsmen.

Davson came to the crease at number seven, was joined by captain Doug Aris (40) at the crease at eight and the pair went about salvaging the innings.

The pair put on 104 for the seventh wicket to turn the innings around, though Patrick Barry (4-41) wrapped up the tail.

Davson’s fifer, with Sean Gilson (2-29) and Marcus Critchley’s remarkable two wickets in three balls secured the win, though Oxford Downs’ 205 run win meant they would win the title.
