Leighton Town made it seven points out of nine on Easter Monday as they drew 1-1 with Chalfont St Peter at Bell Close.

After beating Daventry Town 2-1 a week last Saturday, Town continued their good run of form by beating Godalming Town 3-0 on Saturday (turn to page 63).

But they couldn’t make it three on Monday despite consolidating themselves in 18th place in Evo-Stik Division 1 Central.

Town took the lead after 37 minutes, but couldn’t hold on to their advantage, conceding just before half time as the teams went in level. A second half stalemate ensured both sides went home with a share of the points.

With three games remaining, Town are safe from relegation but will be aiming to finish higher in Craig Bicknell’s first season in charge of the club.
