December’s Chiltern League fixture took Leighton Buzzard Athletics Club out to Oxfordshire on the banks of the River Thames.

In the U11s, Hattie Grimshaw, Julia Bell and Katie Killick finished in 24th, 48th and 56th.

The boys followed with Sid Mead sandwiched between the Hirst-Mitchell brothers of Thomas and Evan kept them in the top 10 in the overall standings.

The team finished sixth on the day, with Dom Grimshaw again leading the team home in 11th place. Owen Lindars, Harry Bell, Ewan Bell, Max Rose and Joseph Bidlake-Hull all ran well too.

Niquole Carter led the LBAC U13 girls round the course finishing ahead of Zara Brooks, Amy Killick and Ami Gardner.

McKenna Keefe (U15 boys) finished in 30th place, while Sam Nicholas (U17s) finished 23rd.

In the senior ladies, Alison Bell and Anna Mead ran well. Jo Sharples managed to hold off Lynn Boddy, finishing 27th and 31st.

In the senior men’s race, the 18 runners LBAC had lined up were all on form, including Colin Postawa who was making his debut.

The veterans were on form on the day, taking victory.

The performance meant after three round, LBAC sit eighth in the table.
