A tale as old as time marks group’s 60th anniversary

Leighton Buzzard Drama Group is urging people continue with the Christmas festivities by going along to a fun and traditional pantomime.

Beauty and the Beast is showing at the Leighton Buzzard Library Theatre, runs from Thursday January 7 to Saturday January 23.

Cast with local talent, including singer / songwriter Gemma Aguilar as the stunning leading lady Belle and panto legend John Stone as The Beast, this production guarantees you a night of fun and panto magic!

Set in a small village just outside Paris we embark on a tale filled with beastly charm and gags a plenty, supported by lovable characters such Madame Fifi, her cheeky son Jacques.

“I’ve focused on telling a lovely magical story with this show,” comments the show’s director, Kim Aguilar. “But also combined it with everything you’d expect from a great panto, with plenty of moments for the kids to make some noise plus great songs such as Uptown Funk and Shake it Up to sing along with!”

The question is will ‘Beauty’ conquer evil or will the wicked enchantress Belladonna win the day with her evil curse?

Beauty and the Beast runs Thursday and Friday nights at 7.15pm, and Saturdays at 11am, 2.30pm and 6pm.
