Christmas festivities begin with a Victorian tradition for dark winter nights as Christmas Gothic sees the retelling of three seasonal tales of terror to scintillate the gooseflesh. The storytelling takes place from 8pm on Wednesday December 7 in the Roxburgh Hall. Running time 80 minute with no interval. Tickets £12, concessions available.

Winter from Vivaldi’s Four seasons is among the many popular items in the Winter Carnival by Red Priest at 8pm on Thursday December 8 in the Ugland Auditorium. Tickets £12, concessions available.

Meet Santa himself at Blunderbus Theatre’s production of Santa’s Little Helper in the Roxburgh Hall from 2pm on Sunday December 11.

    The ever popular Festive Winter’s evening at Stowe House promises the perfect start to the festive season with music, readings and refreshments in sumptuous surroundings. Starting with nibbles in the Marble Saloon on arrival at 7pm on Sunday December 11 and followed with music performed by Brackley Chamber Music Club in the State Music Room. Tickets £13.50, concessions available. Early booking is advised.

    To round the season off the Choir of Clare College Cambridge will perform Christmas Music by Candlelight in the chapel from 7.30pm on Sunday December 18. Mulled wine from 6.30pm. Tickets £12, concessions available.
