This Friday (April 10) sees the return of the heroes – Leighton Buzzards own ‘Local Heroes’ are back at the Wheatsheaf in North Street, Leighton!

They’re always popular with the great vocals of Les Perry leading from the front, Adrian Mulcahy on guitar, Greg Ellis on bass and Ed Featherstone on the drums.

Local Heroes were formed five years ago by a coming together of musicians in the Wheatie who decided that they could do better than the bands they were watching! Like minded they are not though and this leads to a great variety of numbers in their extensive set list from The Who, Jimi Hendrix, Foo Fighters, Primal Scream, Led Zeppelin, Pearl Jam, Neil Young and many more.

Punk, Rock, Blues, Funk and Indie will be on the menu.

On Saturday (April 11), V8 will travel up from Coventry to deliver another storming show that will delight fans. The rock and heavy metal cover band are renowned for their appearances at bike rallies up and down the country.

They were formed in the late 1980s with a name inspired by a Ford Capri engine and have been roaring along ever since! These guys were heavily influenced by Def Lepard and Guns & Roses and this trend continues today with a play list that also includes Metalica, AC/DC, ZZ Top and Judas Priest. Band front man on vocals and guitar is Dave Cowan, backed by Chaz Pullen on drums, Mark Patton on lead guitar and vocals and Christian Pluska on bass guitar.

Music starts about 9.30pm on both nights and entry is free.
