Movies for all ages on at the library theatre


A wide variety of top films can be seen throughout August at the Leighton Buzzard Library Theatre.

Youngsters will be delighted as the movie Minions comes to the theatre on August 11, 15 and 20.

Kevin, Stuart and lovable Bob, venture out into the world to find a new evil boss for their Minion brethren to follow.

The trio share a thrilling journey that leads them to super-villain Scarlet Overkill. They travel from Antarctica to New York City, ending in mod London, where they face their biggest challenge to date!

The cute yellow creatures from Despicable Me turn out in their own film.

The Choir tells the story of Stet, a troubled and angry 11-year-old from a small Texas town. He finds his way to an elite music school, American Boychoir, back in the North East. It can be seen on August 14, 15 and 19.

The 100th anniversary of Orson Welles’ birth is being marked with a screening of The Third Man on August 18.

Ian McKellen plays the legendary detective Sherlock Holmes in a film that can be seen on August 19 to 21.

Mr Holmes sees him as an elderly gentleman and exploring the vulnerability and physical restraints that come with that.

This absorbing film that interweaves several story strands, comes up with an enthralling portrait of the man.
