The music of Pink Floyd, Queen, Led Zeppelin and Muse will be performed by a band performing in the town on Friday.
The prog rock band Infinite Wisdom, based in Milton Keynes, play at the Wheatsheaf in North Street.
They were formed under a different guise over 20 years ago and have seen a few changes before reaching their current form.
They play mostly their own material, but also their interpretation of some classic covers.
Infinite Wisdom has recorded a mini album of tracks called After the Storm and a follow up full album called A Word To The Wise.
As with all bands, the best way to get a taste of the Infinite Wisdom sound is to catch the band live.
Saturday sees the return of the heroes – Leighton Buzzard’s own Local Heroes are back at the Wheatsheaf. Always popular, with the great vocals of Les Perry leading from the front, Adrian Mulcahy on guitar, Greg Ellis on bass and Ed Featherstone on the drums.
Local Heroes were formed five years ago by a coming together of musicians in the Wheatie who decided that they could do better than the bands they were watching. They perform numbers from the likes of The Who, Jimi Hendrix, Foo Fighters and Primal Scream. They’ll deliver a unique and vibrant manner for the audience to sing and dance along to.
Music starts at 9.30pm on both nights and entry is free.
