On Friday (February 27) there’s a bit of ‘Under Cover’ going on at The Wheatsheaf in North Street, Leighton, with some soul, funk and R&B coming from some of Leighton Buzzard’s local guitar heroes!

Les Perry is the front man who will turn out his usual brilliant hi-octane vocals and at the back another familiar face in the form of Ed Featherstone on the drums.

On Saturday (28th), Leighton Buzzard music promoters The Peppermint Store present two bands. Brilliant alternative rock band From the Sticks are back. They describe their music as “melodic, full of life and character with deep lyrical tales”.

The band have been together for around four years and are Rick Butcher on lead vocals and guitar, Tom Ellingworth on lead guitar supporting with ‘churchy type backing vocals’, Chris Gordon on bass guitar and Adam Mansfield on ‘drums that flow with the music.’ From the Sticks are ‘On a mission to bring you the stories of Life, from the serious to the comical!’

Support for the evening are Luna Rosa with Rory McDaid on vocals and guitar, Darren Myles on guitar, Kieran McGuire on bass and vocals and Cole O’Neil on drums.
