Review - The music room at The Wharf Grill

The Wharf Grill
The Wharf Grill

A new music venue with a difference has opened up in Leighton Buzzard and is well worth checking out.

The Wharf Grill’s music room serves up live music as well as a two course meal in a series of events which will be taking place throughout the rest of the year.

We went along last Friday and in a change to the advertised line up, Nabidella and Carson Pemberton were the soul crusaders who played soul music.

However we moved on quickly, aided by the glass of Sangria and then it was time to order some food.

For £20 you could have two courses, I opted for grilled piri piri tiger prawns and The Wharf Burger while my other half opted for grilled chicken satay followed by a rib eye steak, sweet potato wedges and garlic butter.

Once the food was ordered, we settled down to enjoy the entertainment and a glass of wine. The music was of a very decent standard as both singers took on some classics of the genre and plenty to sing along to. Both of them were firmly good.

We had music for an hour followed by the food. It was exceptionally good with very decent portion size. My prawns were a little difficult to eat in the dark but it was definitely worth the effort. My other half’s chicken satay was exceptionally cooked and something we will be trying to recreate at home.

My burger was just delightful and the homemade chunky chips were simply excellent. My other half said his steak was nice while the sweet potato wedges were absolutely mammoth.

There followed more soul classics which had the crowd up and dancing throughout the night.

There are not many places out there like The Wharf Grill and one that hopefully will build and build. £20 gets you a two course dinner, live entertainment, a glass of sangria or ice tea and then a glass of either red or white wine. It is superb value for money and an evening out I shall be checking out again.
