Two popular bands will return to The Wheatsheaf in Leighton Buzzard over the weekend.

Friday night sees the return of popular rock band Southside Jimmy. Jimmy, originally from Glasgow’s Gorbals, is now based in Milton Keynes with his band and always gets great support at the Wheatsheaf, regularly delighting all who come to see!

Playlists include great music from U2, Stereophonics, Foo Fighters, Stones and some Red Hot Chilis, and now also served up with some of Jimmy’s great self-penned original numbers like Fool and Garden.

The band are Jimmy on vocals and guitar, Keef – also on guitar and vocals, Jez on the bass and Big Dog on drums.

On Saturday V8 will travel up from Coventry to deliver another great show that will delight fans.

The rock and heavy metal cover band are renowned for their appearances at bike rallies up and down the country. They were formed in the late 1980’s with a name inspired by a Ford Capri engine and have been roaring along ever since.

These guys were heavily influenced by Def Lepard and Guns & Roses and this trend continues today with a play-list that also includes Metallica, AC/DC, ZZ Top and Judas Priest.

Band front man on vocals and guitar is Dave Cowan, backed by Chaz Pullen on drums, Mark Patton on lead guitar and vocals and Christian Pluska on bass guitar.

On both days’ music starts at around 9.30pm and admission is free.
