'˜Insane' fun at event for 8-year-old meningitis victim

A fundraising event to help an eight-year-old boy struck down by meningitis promises to be an '˜insanely' fun-filled day of fitness training.

Kye Vincent had both legs and one hand amputated on April 14 after contracting meningococcal septicaemia – a form of meningitis which targets the bloodstream.

Since news of Kye’s illness got around, a flurry of events have been organised in and around Leighton Buzzard to raise money for him and his family. In particular, fundraisers want to supply him with an electric wheelchair.
