Storm Doris sends tiles smashing through Leighton Buzzard roof

Marina Hickley was at home in Kitely Green at around 11am when she heard a loud bang.

She said: “I was just minding my own business, and then I heard a crash.

“I went upstairs and looked out the window at my garage roof and there was a big hole there.

Inside the garage, Ms Hickley found a large roof tile smashed on the ground.

She said: “It’s very frustrating, we have things stored in there and now rain is going to go straight through it.”
