Isabelle Thackray joined forces with a Biggleswade and Bedford athlete to compete in Speed Bounce and ran her heart out with teammate Sophia Watt in the hurdles.

Sophia then went on to take second place in the Target throw and fellow clubmate Katie Killick took victory in the Region in the Balance Test.

Bethany Woodhams teamed up with Bedford athletes to scale heights in the vertical jump while Eleanor Green was one of the sprinters in the 2 x 2 lap relay.

Ash Carter joined the four-strong team of boys that kicked LBAC off in the Obstacle relay and performed well in the hi-stepper event.

Daniel Mann raced well in the 4 x 4 relay and took on the speed bounce challenge.

The Bedfordshire ‘moment’ however had to be when Toby Evans partnered with Thomas Pountney from Bedford to win the six lap parlauf race in a nail-bitingly exciting performance very loudly supported by the Bedfordshire contingent.

Arron O’Dwyer won the javelin for the Region, Sid Mead also sprinted superbly in the 2 x 2 relay but wowed us all with some deft footwork in the Grand Prix, an exciting race on a round track involving some speedy change of direction and leaping and diving that young athletes love.
