Brave swimmers take the Emberton Park open waters

Four students from Cedars Upper School braved cold waters in Emberton Park as the open water swimming season got underway.

Amy Pepper and Megan Claggett took part in the 1,500 metre event - two laps around the lake.

Amy placed first for the female competitors, with a brilliant time of 23.58, and Megan Claggett placed fourth, with a time of 25.40.

Charlotte Baxter and Tyla Danskin participated for the first time in the 3.8k event, completing 3 laps of the lake.

Charlotte finished first, with a time of 55.45, breaking the tough one hour barrier.

Tyla Danskin finished third, with a time of 1:08.32.
