Andy is Falling In Love Again

Entertainer Andy Collier is presenting a concert of love songs from between the wars at Tilsworth and Stanbridge Community Hall on September 15.

The programme of love songs come from the twenties and thirties and include works by writers including Dorothy Fields, Jimmy McHugh, Jerome Kern, Lorenz Hart, Richard Rodgers, the Gershwins, Cole Porter, Fats Waller, Noel Coward and more.

The former teacher said: “The songs have been most challenging to learn for this, my first public performance of them. In retrospect, I was first inspired by some of these songs when I played the piano along with Barbara Ralph at the Leighton Drama Group variety show in the summer of 1975.
