Come along on an adventure with Alice as she tries to find her way out of this strange place. She'll need all the help she can get, as the characters she meets are caught up in their own problems! From cooking the queen's dinner to celebrating unbirthdays, the main thing everyone wants is to keep their heads firmly on their shoulders! However, when the queen's beloved tarts are stolen, everybody is under suspicion!

This year’s pantomime was written by playwright Jim Fowler, familiar for other performances such as robin hood. The fabulous director, Caroline Page, has detailed some of the twists and turns in this fresh take of a popular story.

“Its Panto season again “oh no it isn’t”, well it very nearly is! This January the Leighton Buzzard Drama Group is putting on Alice in Wonderland.

What mischief are Tweedledee and Tweedledum getting into? What mischief are Tweedledee and Tweedledum getting into?
What mischief are Tweedledee and Tweedledum getting into?

There will be the usual fun, laughs and daft characters for all the family. Will the Queen ever get her dinner? Will the White Rabbit ever be on time? And will Nursie ever get her man?

So come and boo the Queen of Hearts, laugh with the Mad Hatter, and see if you can spot the Cheshire Cat!

We have something for everyone, singing, dancing, a live band and silliness, there’s an awful lot of silliness for you all to enjoy so please come and join in the fun!”

This year we will be offering something different in hopes of bringing more of the community into the fun. “This year we are trying something different and are having a relaxed performance on Thursday 11th January. This means that the lights will be left on, the foyer doors will be open so that the audience can come and go into the foyer if they need some space, we won’t be using any loud bangs and the band will play just a bit quieter. It is hoped that those who might find it uncomfortable with a regular pantomime will find this easier. The seats are unallocated and so the audience can sit wherever they are the happiest.”

We can't promise you'll leave without being executed or pranked, but we can assure you will be taken on a journey you won’t forget!
